Hestra

The family-owned business Martin Magnusson & Co. was founded in 1936 by Martin Magnusson. At first, his gloves were crafted for the local lumberjacks, but a new ski slope in 1937 presented an opportunity to tap into a new market for his high quality, durable gloves. And as Sweden became a nation of enthusiastic skiers, the sport's popularity grew in the 1960's, and Martin's sons made sure Hestra jumped on the bandwagon.

Hestra is now run by the third and fourth generations of the Magnussons. Both design and development are done at the headquarters in a small village named Hestra in Sweden. In 2021, Hestra produced over 2 million pairs of gloves worldwide in their range of 400 styles.
