Descente Jacket Technology
Motion 3D fit mirrors the movement of your body as it moves in every direction with stretch that optimizes your performance and emboss on the shoulders of Descente jackets reduces stress and provides reinforcement for carrying your skis to and from the mountain. Waterproof stretch quilting creates a waterproof layer without needle holes while fly ventilation maximizes air circulation and reduces fog around your neck and face. Move Liners are made with a four-way stretch material designed to increase mobility so you can make agile turns in the bumps and feel comfortable after a long day of pushing your limits. Descente Jacket Insulation
The Heat Navi layer underneath the main insulation layer converts infrared rays from the sunlight into stored heat to keep you warmer for longer. At the pinnacle of performance, 3M Thinsulate Platinum Flex insulation is a breathable, moisture resistant fiber with four-way stretch for maximum comfort and warmth. For lighter weight jackets that still keep the warmth in, 3M Thinsulate Featherless is an alternative to natural down that has the warmth of 650 down fill and is light, breathable and comfortable. An industry standard, the classic Thinsulate insulation is the highly breathable, lightweight synthetic insulation that is trusted for warmth.
Heat Flex insulation is a blend of polyester and microfibers that trap air in and reflect body heat back to you. Grain Geran is a synthetic insulation that mimics down with spheres of synthetic fill that traps air in pockets to keep you warm all day long and last but not least, Descente jackets with down fill offer a great weight to warmth ratio that hugs your body and feels utterly luxurious.
Descente Jacket Waterproofing
Descente jackets are made waterproof with two signature systems. Entrant Dermizax provides 20K waterproofing with moisture permeability and low condensation while Descente Technology Lamination, or DTL, is the multifunctional, microporous waterproof coating with excellent moisture permeability creating a soft and comfortable waterproof layer.
